R.C. (Rowan) Highcroft was born and raised on the rural fringe of post-War Toronto. After moving abroad to complete his education, he spent happy decades as a teacher and translator in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. On his return to Canada, he settled in a small town near the north shore of Lake Erie. Now retired, he divides his time between two blessedly endless tasks: catching up on his reading, and tending a garden devised to mirror the Old-World charm he came to love during his wandering days.
But in the beginning, youthful summers alongside Ontario’s Georgian Bay laid down memories no subsequent adventures could eclipse. His novel Providence Point invites readers to visit that magical setting.
